President's Project


Each year, the President of the East Fresno Kiwanis Club has the unique opportunity to identify a community need and create a special project that reflects their vision for service. Judy Stuart's President's Project, of landscaping and an entrance sign at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo Kiwanis Kid's Camp. This becomes a lasting contribution to our community, bringing members together to make a meaningful difference while continuing Kiwanis' mission of improving the lives of children and families, one project at a time.


DEFINING STATEMENT & PRINCIPLES OF KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.
To give primacy to the human and spiritual values rather than to the material values of life.
To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, & professional standards.
To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.

2026 Foundation Scholarship Dinner

Our keynotespeaker Dr. Ben Drati, FUSD Deputy Superintendent.
Dr. Drati’s life story is inspiring. 
At the age of 10, Drati fled war-torn Uganda with his family, which settled in Los Angeles. After graduating from high school, he played football at Fresno State while obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry. Later he earned a Doctor of Education in educational leadership and administration from Fresno State.
He has decades of experience in education and leadership, including roles in Clovis and Santa Barbara, and as Superintendent in Santa Monica-Malibu and Bellflower.
